Transport - Hotel 2025

FurcoNZ is hosted at the Holiday Inn Auckland Airport, at 2 Ascot Road, Māngere, Auckland 2022.

Methods of Transport

Public Transport

The Airport Yellow Bus runs approximately every half hour (see full schedule) and stops at both the Domestic and International terminals. This costs $8 and can be purchased rfrom Yellow Bus or via ticket machines at the bus stop. Please note that some hotels (but NOT the Holiday Inn) include free transport on this bus - please check the Yellow Bus website if you are staying at another Hotel.

Auckland Transport bus route 38 stops right outside the hotel in both directions.

Important note: Auckland Transport busses DO NOT accept cash! See the AT website for full details on accepted methods of payment. If you are arriving by plane, there is an AT HOP Card vending machine available at the Domestic Terminal.

Driving to Con

The Hotel has approximately 250 carparks available, on a strictly first come first served basis. To exit you will need to either swipe your room key or get a single-use exit pass from Hotel Reception.

Please contact the hotel in advance if you have a larger than standard vehicle, such as a camper, RV, or bus - access may be limited.

Take the Kirkbride Road offramp from SH20A and the Hotel is directly to the west of the motorway, and is well signposted.

Carpooling

We always recommend carpooling! The experience of spending hours pre and post con getting to hang with some other local furs can really add to the experience. There are often many people organizing carpooling via our Telegram chat in the months leading up to FurcoNZ - if you want to go this route we recommend joining the chat.

Bus - InterCity

The InterCity bus has a stop at Auckland Airport, where you can then catch the Yellow Bus as detailed above under the Public Transport section. You can also use Auckland Transport busses from the Manukau Bus Station, but this is longer and more complicated.

Flying - Auckland Airport

If flying into Auckland Airport, you can catch the Yellow Bus from the terminal as detailed under the Public Transport section above.

Helicopter

Heletranz offer transfers to and from Auckland CBD and other destinations around the Auckland and wider area.

Private Jet

Air Centre One provide FBO and private jet services at Auckland International. They are able to organise ramp services along with ground transportation to and from the venue.

Parachute

Due to restrictions from the proximity to Auckland Airport, parachute arrival is not available for FurcoNZ Hotel.
